Lapstone barn wedding venue is a new player on the block, and I can say that it’s probably my favourite barn wedding venue that I’ve had a chance to shoot so far. It has been freshly rebuilt to be used as a wedding venue, and It’s now a most popular wedding location for Cotswolds Weddings. Uniquely located it has not only the new country feeling to it, but for me, the colours and the area itself somehow reminded me all the old wedding venues that I’ve visited in Tuscany, Italy.
No wonder, it was a no brainer for Katie and Ben to choose Lapstone Barn wedding venue as their location for their big day. Although, it took me a little longer than usual to travel all the way from London it was definitely worth it.
Katie started her morning preparation in the Barn with all her friends and family. At the same time, Ben was accompanied by his dad and their baby daughter, who as an absolute delight and master of expressions during the day.
The ceremony itself was lovely, and I couldn’t enjoy more to capture the emotions on Ben’s face seeing her daughter and Katie walking down the aisle. The rest of the day was exceptionally relaxed and enjoyable while people were having snacks, photos and good time inside the leading yard of the Barn. After dinner, loads of funny speeches and few games, we decided to do some couples portraits as the light during the early spring evening was superb. They both looked like supermodels and were very easy to photograph.
What followed after was a surprise first dance. A fully choreographed (Katie used to be a professional dancer) first dance left all the guests very excited, and it didn’t take long for the dance floor to be full.
It was such a lovely and fun day to photograph, and I want to say a massive thank you for Katie and Ben for having me with you and being able to document your wedding day.
